THE WESLEY COMMUNITY TO SHOWCASE SENIOR HOUSING OPTIONS AT WOODLAWN COMMONS DURING OPEN HOUSE

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y., – The Wesley Community will showcase its highly-regarded independent and enriched living programs at Woodlawn Commons for seniors and their families during an Open House on Thursday, February 13 from 2 to 6 p.m. The Open House will be held at the Woodlawn Commons residence on The Wesley Community campus in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Prospective residents are invited to meet the staff and current residents, tour the apartments, and learn more about the care, education, and lifestyle enhancement programs available at The Wesley Community. Attendees can also enter a drawing for a $50.00 Hannaford gift card.

The enriched and independent living programs at Woodlawn Commons provide a supportive environment that can be tailored to meet the needs of each member. Residents in independent living enjoy an experience similar to their private home, but with added amenities and no maintenance responsibilities, while residents in enriched living enjoy three prepared meals a day, housekeeping and laundry services, scheduled transportation and additional care determined by their individual needs.

“We have always strived to offer different levels of care to meet each individual’s needs. That is why we offer a full menu of senior housing options ranging from apartments for active and independent seniors to units more suited for seniors requiring daily care and living assistance,” said Lorrie Shilling, director of marketing of The Wesley Community.  “Amenities abound at every level of care and our experienced, professional staff provides families the comfort of knowing loved ones receive the attention they deserve. One of our top goals is making sure our residents and their families are comfortable.”

During the Open House, visitors will have the opportunity to view the apartments and the extensive amenities available at Woodlawn Commons. Visitors will also learn about the numerous social, cultural, educational and exercise programs organized by The Wesley Community to meet the physical and spiritual needs of each resident.

Visitors to the Open House will be able to get answers regarding the various levels of care at The Wesley Community, as well as about senior-related issues including dementia, Medicaid, long-term care insurance, outpatient therapies, short-term rehabilitation, and the Evergreen Adult Day Services, a comprehensive and supervised day program for seniors.

Light refreshments will be provided. Woodlawn Commons is located on The Wesley Community campus at 156 Lawrence Street in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.  For more information or directions, call 518-691-1563.
