Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly built next generation restaurant at 126 Sharon Street in Stoughton on Friday, October 3 as part of its grand opening celebration.
Dunkin’ franchisee Michael Cavallo of The Andrade Group commemorated the occasion with a $5,000 donation to the St. Anthony’s Food Pantry of Stoughton, in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. St. Anthony’s mission is to contribute to the nutritional needs of low-income residents.
“We are very grateful for community partners like Michael Cavallo and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation that support the great work that we do by helping the needy members of our community,” said Fr. Carlos Suarez, Pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Stoughton. “This money will go immediately toward supporting families, and in particular, those who have been affected by the recent rise in costs.”
The morning featured the first 100 people in line at 9 a.m. receiving a free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 days, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise, and enjoyed a complimentary Dunkin’ photobooth and commemorative photo magnet.
Massachusetts State Senator Bill Driscoll, Jr. and Stoughton Deputy Police Chief James O’Connor joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The newly built, 1,800 square-foot Dunkin’ employs 12 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
