New York City, N.Y. – Longtime accounting professional Eric Hananel has been named Tax Principal at UHY LLP.
Based in the firm’s New York City office, Hananel has more than 35 years of experience in tax consulting, compliance, corporate taxation, and the management and administration of national accounts and a staff of professionals.

Hananel, who will serve as a general services tax professional at UHY, began his career at Price Waterhouse. His decorated career includes more than a dozen years at Deloitte & Touche as a Tax Partner, and more than 20 years at BDO as a Partner in charge of the Long Island office and the firm’s Northeast Regional Tax Leader and served on the firms Board of Directors, among other roles.

Hananel attended Hofstra University and received his Bachelor of Business Studies (marketing) and his Master of Business Administration (accounting). A native of Queens, Hananel spent most of his adult life in Roslyn, New York, and recently moved to Manhattan. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and The Muttontown Club.
