Honorees will receive $20 gift card courtesy of Dunkin’ and be recognized during virtual Saratoga Grandparents Day celebration

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – The Wesley Foundation, the philanthropic arm of The Wesley Community in Saratoga Springs, will recognize the area’s most senior family members by welcoming a new class of honorees to the Greatest Grandparents Club.

Families are welcome to nominate their grandparent or great-grandparent for recognition at Nominations should describe why their grandparent is the greatest in 200 words or less, and include a picture or short video submission. The nomination deadline is Monday, September 6 at 4 p.m.

All honorees will be recognized during the fifth annual Saratoga Grandparents Day virtual celebration on Sunday, September 12 at 11 a.m. The event, which celebrates the importance of family in conjunction with National Grandparents Day, will be hosted at The Wesley Community’s Facebook page.

The Wesley Foundation is also partnering with Dunkin’ to award this year’s honorees with a $20 gift card, courtesy of Capital Region Dunkin’ franchisees.

“The Wesley Community is excited to honor the members of our families who are a tremendous influence and help develop our family values through our virtual Grandparents Day celebration,” said The Wesley Community’s CEO J. Brian Nealon. “We look forward to honoring some of the greatest grandparents in our community on this important holiday that celebrates the members of our family who do so much and make a difference in our daily lives.”

The Saratoga Grandparents Day online celebration will feature a video recognizing the 2021 class of the Greatest Grandparents Club.

Virtual attendance is free. Donations are being accepted online for The Wesley Foundation’s Nursing Scholarship Fund where all proceeds from the event will be directed. The Nursing Scholarship Fund helps Wesley employees pursue or continue their nursing education at an accredited school.
