STUYVESANT PLAZA TO HOST NEW SPRING SIDEWALK BOUTIQUE SERIES

Series to feature nearly one dozen retailers over two weekends in May

ALBANY, NY – Stuyvesant Plaza will welcome Capital Region residents to shop, dine and stroll the area’s premier outdoor lifestyle shopping center during the new Spring Sidewalk Boutique Series in May.

Over the course of two weekends, nearly a dozen shops will bring their merchandise outdoors for shoppers to enjoy an open-air shopping experience on the Plaza’s iconic sidewalks. Shops will also feature various specials and promotions during the event.

The first edition of the Spring Sidewalk Boutique series will take place on Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2. The second iteration will occur on Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16. Hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“After a long winter, our new Spring Sidewalk Boutiques are a great way for individuals and families to get out of the house and enjoy the warmer weather,” said Janet Kaplan, Vice President of Real Estate at Stuyvesant Plaza. “The boutiques are designed to encourage the shopping, dining and strolling that make the Plaza such a special place, while maintaining a safe and socially-distanced environment. We encourage shoppers to join us for one weekend or both.”

Participating tenants for May 1 and 2 include AT&T; Beck Furs; Jos. A. Bank; Lola Saratoga; Silver Parrot and Ten Thousand Villages. The weekend of May 15 and 16 will showcase Different Drummer’s Kitchen; Emil J Nagengast Florist; Evoke Style; Jean Paul Spa and Salon and Oliva! Gourmet Olive Oils & Vinegars.

Common areas feature additional benches for shoppers while waiting to enter stores due to social distancing requirements and store occupancy limits.

The Plaza has implemented enhanced cleaning protocols and procedures, including regularly wiping down benches, trash cans and high touch areas in the public restrooms and customer service office with increased frequency.

Curbside pickup parking spots are available to allow for convenient and efficient service from shops and restaurants.

Hours and policies for individual tenants vary during this time. Shoppers should contact each store or restaurant for details.

Shoppers are encouraged to follow Stuyvesant Plaza on Facebook, Instagram or on Twitter for regular updates.

Stuyvesant Plaza has served as the Capital Region’s premier lifestyle shopping center for more than 60 years.
