Siena Athletics and Stewart’s Shops are teaming up to provide Capital Region fans with the most affordable way to attend the most highly anticipated basketball game of the year. Fans can purchase vouchers for just $18 from any one of nearly 150 local Stewart’s Shops, which can be redeemed for tickets in the 200 level for the Albany Cup when Siena Basketball hosts crosstown rival UAlbany on Sunday, Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. at MVP Arena.

“Stewart’s Shops is thrilled to support these two great crosstown rivals in the Albany Cup, and even more excited that we are providing Capital Region fans with the most affordable way to attend,” said Stewart’s Shops Director of Marketing Bill Majewski.

Through this promotion, fans have the opportunity to secure the lowest priced tickets available in the 200 level at all Stewart’s Shops located in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady counties. Customers can purchase a voucher in-store for a ticket in the 200 level for just $18 total, with no other fees or charges applied. Vouchers can then be redeemed for tickets to the Albany Cup at the MVP Arena Box Office either on game day or in advance between the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Vouchers are on-sale at nearly 150 Capital Region Stewart’s Shops from now through the Albany Cup on Nov. 26, or while supplies last. Fans are encouraged to redeem their vouchers at the MVP Arena Box Office prior to game day to avoid lines and to secure preferred seating, based on availability. Vouchers are available for purchase at Stewart’s Shops by cash only.

Following a five-year break in the series, Siena and UAlbany renewed their men’s basketball rivalry last season with the Saints prevailing 75-62 over the Great Danes in a neutral site showdown on Nov. 12 at MVP Arena. Siena and UAlbany had previously met for 17 consecutive seasons in the Albany Cup from 2001-17, following the Great Danes’ elevation to the Division I level. The Saints now hold an 11-7 edge in the Albany Cup, and a 31-24 all-time advantage between the Capital Region rivals dating back to the first matchup in 1940.
