SEASON TICKET PLANS AND SEASON PASSES FOR 2016 MEET AT SARATOGA RACE COURSE ON SALE BEGINNING MARCH 28

Season pass and season ticket plan holders to benefit from new Saratoga Season Perks program, guaranteed premium giveaways

Dining reservations and group sales packages also available beginning March 28

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. will welcome the general public to purchase full-season ticket plans and season admission passes for the 2016 meet at historic Saratoga Race Course beginning Monday, March 28 at 10 a.m. EDT.

Full-season plans, which include reserved seats for the full 40-day season, will be available for purchase online through NYRA AccountManager utilizing the all-new Saratoga Virtual Venue seating map, enabling fans to digitally preview their seat location and sightlines before purchasing tickets.Full-season plans include 40 days of admission based on the cost of a season pass.

A season pass provides fans with admission to 40 days of world-class thoroughbred racing at Saratoga Race Course, including the Grade 1, $1.25 million Travers on Saturday, August 27 and the Grade 1, $1.25 million Whitney on Saturday, August 6. The costs for 2016 season passes will be the same as last year with a Grandstand season pass at $35 and a Clubhouse season pass being $55. Season passes do not include reserved seating and are valid for one admission. Season passes may be purchased through NYRA AccountManager.

The 2016 season will feature an expanded Saratoga Season Perks program with exclusive offers for season pass and season ticket plan holders, including the guarantee of a Saratoga premium giveaway on the day of the giveaway and special discounts at currently more than 20 retail, restaurant and professional services locations in downtown Saratoga Springs, amongst other benefits.

“Our enhanced Saratoga Season Perks program is designed to reward our most loyal fans who wish to enjoy 40 days of thoroughbred racing and entertainment at a savings of more than 80 percent. While pricing remains the same as last year, the value of a season pass has dramatically increased with the addition of discounts to a wide variety of popular retail shops, restaurants, entertainment venues and sports and winter resort destinations,” said New York Racing Association Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer Lynn LaRocca. “We are proud to introduce an array of new incentives, discounts and special offers that will further augment the value of a season pass while enhancing the relationship between NYRA and the local business, arts and entertainment community.”

One of the most prominent offers included in the newly expanded Saratoga Season Perks program is the guarantee of a premium Saratoga giveaway item on the day of the giveaway, so long as the season pass or season ticket plan holder is in attendance at Saratoga Race Course and redeems the giveaway item by 3 p.m. Redemptions will begin when gates open to the general public.

Saratoga season pass and season plan holders will receive a 10 percent savings with an activated season pass beginning June 1, 2016 through March 1, 2017 to a growing list of more than 20 Saratoga Downtown Business Association retail, restaurant and professional services members, including: 2 West Bar and Grille; Boca Bistro; Bread Basket; BWP Local Grille; Celtic Treasures; Chianti Ristorante; Circus Café; Crafter’s Gallery; Cudney’s Cleaners; Feigenbaum Cleaners; Forno Tuscano; G. Willikers; Impressions of Saratoga; Lifestyles of Saratoga; Northshire Bookstore; Saratoga Guitar; Saratoga Sports Massage; Saratoga Brewing Company; Savory Pantry; Spoken Boutique; Stinky Dog; Wheatfield’s Bistro and Wine Bar in Clifton Park; and Wheatfield’s Restaurant and Bar in Saratoga.

Saratoga season pass and season plan holders will also receive a 10 percent savings with an activated season pass to additional New York Racing Association partners, including:

  • Select classical series performances at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater engagements and full-priced amphitheater seats to evening performances of the Philadelphia Orchestra and New York City Ballet (excluding the Gala Fundraiser);
  • Tri-City ValleyCats home baseball games, the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Houston Astros;
  • Select New York mountains and ski resorts, including Belleayre, Catamount, Gore, Plattekill and Whiteface during the 2016-17 winter season;
  • Siena College men’s and women’s home basketball games during the 2016-17 season.

Saratoga season pass and season plan holders will also have the opportunity to take advantage of a robust offering of benefits on-track during the 2016 season, including:

  • Numerous discounts to Saratoga Race Course food, beverage and merchandise vendors expanding upon the program initiated in 2015;
  • All-new for 2016, access to a special pre-sale for individual Saratoga Race Course reserved seat tickets.

A season pass must be activated in order to receive Saratoga Season Perks discounts and incentives. Season pass holders are required to provide a photo in order to activate their season pass. Dining and group hospitality reservations for 2016 Saratoga Race Course season available March 28

Fans interested in securing a reservation at one of Saratoga Race Course’s restaurants during the 2016 season will have the opportunity to do so beginning Monday, March 28 at 10 a.m. EDT.

Dining reservations at the Turf Terrace, Club Terrace and the Porch will be available by phone at (888) 516-6972. Reservations are based on availability and are non-transferable. Seating charge payment is required upon reservation; seating charges are final and non-refundable.

Additionally, full hospitality space bookings for Saratoga Race Course are currently available for the following hospitality areas: At the Rail Pavilion; Luxury Suites (whole suite rentals only); Paddock Tent; Festival Tent; Big Red Spring Tent; and Top of the Stretch. Partial hospitality space bookings will be available beginning March 28.
