SARATOGA RACE COURSE TO HOST JOB FAIR FOR 2015 MEET

Annual job fair to be held at Saratoga Springs City Center

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will host a three-day job fair for those interested in working at Saratoga Race Course during the 2015 summer meet, which will run from Friday, July 24 through Labor Day, Monday, September 7.

The job fair will be held at the Saratoga Springs City Center at 522 Broadway in downtown Saratoga Springs. Parking will be available in the adjacent lot on Maple Avenue.

Opportunities are available for: bartenders, betting clerks, cashiers, chefs, cleaners, cooks, food service helpers and supervisors, general labor, giveaway helpers (part-time only), hosts/hostesses, parking attendants, porters and barbacks, prep cooks, retail clerks, security, turf work, utility workers, valet parking staff, waitstaff, and whitecaps/ushers.

Positions are available with NYRA, Centerplate, Union Square Events, The Forum Group and American Maintenance.

Interviews will be conducted on Thursday, June 11 from 2 to 6 p.m.; Friday, June 12 from 2 to 6 p.m.; and on Saturday, June 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Interviews for Shake Shack and El Verano Taqueria positions with Union Square Events will be conducted on Thursday and Friday only.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age with New York State Certified Working Papers; prospective security guards, cashiers and betting clerks must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Betting clerks and cashiers must have significant cash handling experience. Security guards must have a high school degree or GED to apply. All applicants must bring a photo ID and social security card or I-9 alternative.
