Mazzone Hospitality promotes two longtime employees to general manager

Jaime Ortiz fills prestigious post at Angelo’s 677 Prime; Stuart DeVoe at Tala Bistro

Scotia, N.Y. – Mazzone Hospitality today announced the promotion of two longtime employees: Jaime Ortiz has been named General Manager at Angelo’s 677 Prime in Albany, NY, and Stuart DeVoe has been named General Manager at Tala Bistro in Latham, NY.

In their new roles, Ortiz and DeVoe will manage the day to day operations of their respective restaurants including staff training and development, menu coordination, and promotions and events in consultation with the Mazzone Hospitality marketing team.

Ortiz has worked with Mazzone Hospitality for more than 14 years, most recently as Corporate Executive Chef, leading the culinary team in the conception and execution of all restaurant and event projects. A winner of multiple culinary awards during his distinguished career, Ortiz is an American Culinary Federation Certified Executive Chef and an adjunct professor at his alma mater, Schenectady County Community College.

DeVoe joined Mazzone Hospitality in 2006 as a restaurant manager at Angelo’s 677 Prime, and most recently served as restaurant manager at Prime at Saratoga National during its transformation into one of the region’s top steak houses. A Clifton Park native and University at Albany graduate, DeVoe became a veteran in the hospitality business working at some of the busiest restaurants on the Las Vegas strip, including Morton’s Steakhouse, Smith & Wollensky and AJ’s Steakhouse in the Hard Rock Hotel.
