Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 274 Old Nyack Turnpike in the village of Spring Valley within the town of Ramapo on Thursday, March 19, as part of its grand reopening celebration.
Dunkin’ franchisee Sicomac Partners commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to the Salvation Army Spring Valley Corps Community Center’s food pantry, in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Located within the Salvation Army’s Spring Valley Community Corps, the food pantry provides hunger relief and food services to those in need within the local community.
“We are extremely grateful to Sicomac Partners and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation for this generous donation,” said Salvation Army Rockland County Coordinator Major Cat Lyle. “We serve many families across Rockland County, and this gift will go a very long way in helping to provide much-needed resources in our community.”
The event featured the first 100 people in line at 9 a.m. receiving a free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 days, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise and enjoyed a Dunkin’ photobooth.
Ramapo Town Supervisor Michael Specht; Spring Valley Mayor Schenley Vital; Rockland County Director of Economic Development and Tourism Jenna Nazario; Ramapo Town Councilman Michael Rossman; Rockland County District Legislator Aney Paul; Representatives on behalf of New York Assemblyman Aron Wieder; and members of the Ramapo Police Department joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The newly remodeled, 1,500 square-foot Dunkin’ employs eight crew members and is open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
