Cardona’s Market – the family-owned specialty foods market and catering company serving the Capital Region since 1945 – will usher in the spring season with several exciting catering offerings to celebrate Easter and the most wonderful time of the year for college basketball, culminating with the final weekend of the big tournament on Saturday, April 4, and Easter Sunday on April 5.
Customers can go “Mad in March” and cheer on their favorite squads in the upcoming college hoops tournament with a variety of popular sports-themed catering options and can feast on Cardona’s signature Easter package, while also savoring a selection of a la carte pies and Easter bread.
Cardona’s will also celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by offering the limited-edition “Pally O’Malley” sandwich at its three Capital Region locations for two days only, Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17. Served hot on a fresh toasted pretzel bun, the recipe combines Irish tradition with an Italian twist, featuring hot house braised corned beef and hot lightly sauteed pastrami topped with horseradish dijonnaise, caramelized onions and fennel, house pickles and Swiss cheese.
“Cardona’s is excited to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and a pair of momentous events this spring with delicious catering options to be enjoyed by friends and family alike,” said Cardona’s Market Co-Owner and Executive Chef Robert Cardona, Jr. “Our traditional Easter dinner is a favorite among our holiday catering offerings, and our game day favorites will fuel college basketball fans during the biggest matchups of the year.”
A variety of fan favorites will be available to help fans get into the spirit of the annual college basketball tournament, beginning Tuesday, March 17 through Monday, April 6. Orders must be placed by noon the day prior to pick-up.
Highlights of the college hoops menu include:
- A Winning Snack Pack that features Cardona’s Famous Meatballs, arancini, fried mozzarella and chicken tenders;
