Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 1430 US-46 in the Borough of Fort Lee on Thursday, December 4 as part of its grand reopening celebration.
Dunkin’ franchisee Sachin Shah of BMD Management commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to New City Kids, in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. New City Kids offers faith-based, after-school programming for local youth from under-resourced communities.
“Throughout New City Kids’ 30-year history, our success has depended on partnering with the community,” said New City Kids Associate Director Shaun Hopkins. “We appreciate this generous gift from BMD Management and Dunkin’. This contribution will play an important role in enhancing programs that inspire, educate, and equip Hudson County youth for success. Together, we’re making a difference.”
The event featured the first 100 people in line at 9 a.m. receiving a free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 days, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise, and enjoyed a Dunkin’ photobooth and DJ.
Members of the Fort Lee Council, members of the Fort Lee Police Department, and representatives from the office of New Jersey Assemblywoman Shama Haider joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The newly remodeled Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins is open 24 hours daily, seven days each week.
