Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins’ newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 179-15 Hillside Avenue in the Queens neighborhood of Jamaica on Thursday, September 17, as part of its grand reopening celebration.
Dunkin’ franchisee National Business Group commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to Project Hope Charities, in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Project Hope is a Humanitarian and Community-based organization that offers a wide range of services to the poor, low income, working poor, and homeless within Jamaica and the Greater New York City area.
“Project Hope Charities extends our heartfelt thanks to Mrunal Patel and National Business Group for their generous support and meaningful donation,” said Project Hope Charities Outreach & Community Liaison Shaunte Gibson-Lampart. “This contribution will further our mission and strengthen our ongoing efforts to serve and uplift our community. We are deeply grateful for Dunkin’s commitment to making a positive impact and for standing with us in bringing HOPE and support to those who need it most.”
The event featured the first 100 people in line at 9 a.m. receiving a free medium Dunkin’ Hot or Iced Coffee for 100 consecutive days, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for Dunkin’ merchandise and enjoyed a Dunkin’ photobooth.
Queens Community Board 8 Chairperson Martha Taylor and representatives on behalf of New York City Councilman James F. Gennaro joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The newly remodeled, 1,800 square-foot Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins employs nine crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
