Sexual harassment prevention training is an annual requirement for all New York State employers

ALBANY, New York – BST & Co., one of the Capital Region’s leading financial and management consulting firms, is offering virtual sexual harassment prevention training programs designed for New York State employers that may be operating remotely during the global pandemic.

The training, which is required for employees at all New York companies and organizations on an annual basis by state law, is available as either an on-demand web-based video or a live instructor-led program via Zoom.

“Many New York employers may not realize that the sexual harassment prevention training requirement implemented last year was not a one-time deal, but must be conducted on an annual basis,” said BST Chief Talent Officer and HR Consultant Adam Lawrence. “We know that this year has brought a lot of changes to the way companies are doing business. Our accessible, convenient and effective training program is designed to provide employers with as much flexibility as possible in a predominantly remote work environment.”

The on-demand web-based video training is $15 per employee. Virtual video conference instructor-led training programs are $600 per session. In-person custom training options are also available on a limited basis.

The training is conducted by professionals from BST’s human resources division, which provides operational, management and human resources consulting for small and medium businesses.

Both interactive programs are designed for employees across all staff levels, including managers and supervisors, and exceed state requirements. At the conclusion of the training session, each participant is required to complete and pass a test. BST will provide the employer with a report detailing staff completion rates.

BST human resources professionals are also available to consult with businesses and organizations about the development of new sexual harassment prevention training policies, as well as the review and assessment of current guidelines.
