Weekend event to feature ski package giveaways, affordable seasonal rentals for juniors
AMSTERDAM, N.Y. – Alpin Haus, New York’s largest ski and snowboard shop, will celebrate the return of another winter season with a look at the latest ski and snowboard equipment and apparel during its 50th annual Open House from October 9 through 13.
The Open House will take place at Alpin Haus’ two ski and snowboard dealerships located at 4850 Route 30N in Amsterdam and Clifton Park Center in Clifton Park.
“As the weather gets colder, it signals an exciting time for all of us at Alpin Haus,” said Andy Heck, president of Alpin Haus. “The 2013-14 season saw high snowfall totals, which made for some of the best skiing and snowboarding in years. We look forward to outfitting winter sports enthusiasts for another great season on the slopes.”
The five-day event will feature outstanding pricing on new 2015 models from the most sought after brands in the industry, including UGG boots and The North Face apparel; K2, Line, Atomic, Volkl and Nordica skis; and Burton, Lib Tech and Gnu snowboards.
Alpin Haus will once again offer junior ski rentals for the upcoming season through April 15, 2015. As a way to give every child a chance to ski, while supplies last junior season ski rentals are available for free for children ages 5 and under; $50 for children ages 6 and 7; and starting at $99 for children ages 8 and up. Fit is guaranteed through the ski season for all junior rentals.
Shoppers will have the opportunity to update outdated gear through Alpin Haus’ equipment trade-in program, which allows winter sports enthusiasts to apply the value of gently-used equipment to their new purchase.
Additionally, Alpin Haus will host a special contest in honor of the 50th annual Open House for the chance to win a Lake Placid ski and stay package, including hotel accommodations at High Peaks Resort and lift tickets for two days of skiing at the world-renowned Whiteface Mountain.
Refreshments, door prizes and exclusive promotions will also be available throughout the event, including lift ticket giveaways at many mountains including: Gore Mountain; Deer Valley in Park City, Utah; Mad River Glen; Okemo; Killington; Bromley; Mount Snow; Royal Mountain; West Mountain; Oak Mountain; and Maple Ski Ridge.
The Alpin Haus 50th annual Open House will take place on Thursday, October 9th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, October 10th from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, October 11th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, October 12th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Monday, October 13th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
