THE WESLEY FOUNDATION TO CELEBRATE A NIGHT “UNDER THE STARS” AT ANNUAL GALA

Proceeds from fundraising event to benefit The Wesley Community

Saratoga Springs, N.Y.– The Wesley Foundation, the philanthropic arm of The Wesley Community in Saratoga Springs, will host its annual gala on Saturday, May 31 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Saratoga Golf and Polo Club. The theme of this year’s event is “A Black and White Affair Under the Stars,” which will invite attendees to take an imaginary trip to Manhattan with street entertainers, including a mime, sleight of hand magician and a tarot card reader.

Proceeds from the evening will support the renovation of the Springs residence at The Wesley Health Care Center. The residence caters to aging seniors who may have significant chronic medical needs that require daily assistance. Renovations will allow for improved delivery of care.

“It’s going to be a fun, festive evening with proceeds supporting a worthy cause. As a board member of The Wesley Foundation, I know how additional funds can impact the quality of life of Wesley’s residents. I am delighted to chair this event in support of the Foundation,” said Chris Harmon, member of The Wesley Foundation Board and Event Committee Chair.

“We are very excited about our upcoming event and the impact it will have on the lives of our residents. By renovating our Springs residence to become more resident-centered, we can better meet their needs and improve the quality of our care,” said J. Brian Nealon, Chief Executive Officer of The Wesley Community.

Guests will enjoy complimentary champagne upon arrival, hors d’oeuvres, a buffet with carving and pasta stations, and a cash bar. Attendees are encouraged to wear “casually chic” black and white attire. The event will also feature music by Funk Evolution, photos by Saratoga Photo Booth, and black and white chocolate fondue from The Fondue Guy, in addition to other activities.  An additional fundraiser at the event will give attendees a chance to win a dinner for up to eight people at the Saratoga Golf and Polo Club, with wine pairings from Empire North, by being the last one standing in a heads or tails game hosted by Walt Adams from 101.3 The Jockey.

Platinum Star sponsors are The Adirondack Trust Company and Marshall and Sterling Insurance.
