The Wesley Foundation, the philanthropic arm of The Wesley Community in Saratoga Springs, recently announced it will be the recipient of all net proceeds from The VMJR Companies’ 6th Annual Architects vs. Engineers Golf Tournament. The golf fundraiser is slated for Friday, Sept. 12 at The Edison Club, 891 Riverview Road in Rexford.
A 10 a.m. shotgun start will kick-off the annual golf tournament, which last year raised more than $60,000 in funds for a local non-profit focused on delivering services to victims of domestic violence. Registration for this year’s golf tournament to benefit Wesley is open and sponsorship opportunities are still available.

The VMJR Companies, headquartered in Glens Falls, provides collaborative construction services specializing in historic restoration and customer satisfaction. Its annual golf tournament, which serves as a fundraiser for a selected nonprofit recipient each year, attracts competitive golfers from around the Capital Region.
“This isn’t simply a day of golf and networking, but rather an opportunity to support seniors who rely on The Wesley Community to provide skilled nursing and long-term care,” said Timothy Hughes, president of the VMJR Companies “Anyone who participates helps to ensure Wesley residents continue to receive the dignity, comfort and support they deserve.”
Highlights of the day’s activities include: Grab and Go Lunch at the Turn and Putting Contest at 11 a.m.; Hole in One and Longest Drive Contest; Cocktail Hour on the terrace at 2:30 p.m.; 50/50 Raffle; Silent Auction; 2 Ball Launchers; Whiskey and Beer Tastings; and Basket Raffle.
Event organizers are accepting silent auction and gift basket donations through August 29.
