Shopping destination commemorates International Dog Day through a collaboration with Lucky Puppy Rescue

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. – Stuyvesant Plaza will celebrate International Dog Day on Saturday, Aug. 26 with “Pups at the Plaza,” a pet adoption event presented in partnership with Lucky Puppy Rescue. Guests are invited to meet adoptable dogs and learn more about the rehoming process from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in front of Jean Paul Salon & Spa.

Pups at the Plaza is a free event. Attendees can help support Lucky Puppy’s mission by purchasing special merchandise items and raffle tickets for a Stuyvesant Plaza gift basket filled with dog-themed items from Sur La Table, Bountiful Bread, Uncommon Grounds, RAD Soap Co. and more.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Lucky Puppy and their furry friends to our dog-friendly property,” said Stuyvesant Plaza General Manager Rachel Ferluge. “Perfectly timed for International Dog Day, Pups at the Plaza is a great opportunity to learn about the adoption process and the wonderful work of this rescue organization.”

Lucky Puppy Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that specializes in the rehabilitation and adoption of rescue dogs. The team provides veterinary care, behavioral training and socialization so that each dog is ready for a forever home when they leave the Lucky Puppy facility. “We’re looking forward to introducing Stuyvesant Plaza guests to these incredible dogs,” said Lucky Puppy Rescue’s Great Beginnings Adoption Center Manager Tabby Toledo. “The Plaza’s commitment to helping animals in need makes them a true community partner.
