Culinary retailer will open its first Capital Region location on July 22 with official baguette-breaking ceremony and open house

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. – Leading kitchen and culinary retailer Sur La Table celebrated the grand opening of its first Capital Region location at Stuyvesant Plaza on Saturday, July 22. In lieu of the customary ribbon cutting, representatives debuted the space by breaking an oversized baguette specially baked by neighboring Plaza restaurateur Bountiful Bread.

The day’s events will feature special in-store giveaways, sweepstakes and tastings, including coffee sampling from Stuyvesant Plaza’s Uncommon Grounds. The first 150 customers will receive a Sur La Table towel set with purchase of $100 or more. Guests will also have the opportunity to win a free cooking class for two, valued at $180, by engaging with Sur La Table’s social media channels.

“We are thrilled to open our doors to Capital Region guests at this spectacular Stuyvesant Plaza storefront,” said Sur La Table CEO Jordan Voloshin. “We couldn’t dream of a better environment for our first shop in upstate New York.
