Fifty-two-year tradition slated for Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26

ALBANY, NY – Stuyvesant Plaza merchants are preparing for the first post-pandemic June sidewalk sale and the official return to normalcy of the lifestyle shopping center’s summer events. The sidewalk sale – the first event conducted in joint partnership with WS Development kicks off Saturday, June 25 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and runs through Sunday, June 26 from noon to 5 p.m.

The annual sale dates back more than five decades and will feature numerous shopkeepers showcasing their merchandise in the open-air setting of the Plaza’s iconic sidewalks to the delight of customers of all ages. Participating shops and restaurants will offer specials and promotions, and a balloon artist will be on hand Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 2 p.m.

“We are thrilled to welcome shoppers back for the return of our annual Summer Sidewalk Sale in June, which has become a much-anticipated seasonal tradition among both our guests and merchants,” said Stuyvesant Plaza General Manager Rachel Ferluge. “The sale is a great way for shoppers to enjoy a summer day outdoors and discover fresh, one-of-a-kind finds from our amazing variety of shops.”

Tenants participating in this year’s Summer Sidewalk Sale are: Beck Furs; Chicos; Circles; Delmar Bootery; Edleez; Jean Paul Spa; Jos. A. Bank; Lola of Saratoga; Oliva!; Pearl Grant Richmans; Pottery Barn; RAD Soaps; Silver Parrot; Ten Thousand Villages; The Book House; and more.

The Summer Sidewalk Sale was temporarily paused in 2020 and, due to social distancing protocols related to the Covid-19 pandemic, had a delayed launch in 2021. This summer marks the 52nd edition of the event.
