SPECIAL OLYMPICS NEW YORK TO HOST FASHION SHOW TO SUPPORT UPCOMING STATE SUMMER GAMES IN ALBANY

ALBANY, NY – Local community leaders will walk the catwalk in support of Special Olympics New York during the Runway for the Gold fashion show on Thursday, April 12 at the Mohawk River Country Club in Rexford, NY. The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m.

The volunteer models will be joined on the runway by Special Olympics New York athletes who are competing in the 49th Special Olympics New York State Summer Games, which this year will be held at Siena College from June 15-17.

“For the second time in over a decade, we are proud that the Capital Region will host our largest competition of the season,” said Special Olympics New York Director of Development Jennifer Frame. “The Runway for the Gold fashion show is a terrific community event and we encourage everyone to support the athletes, either by attending or making a donation. All donations will help defray costs for our athletes to train and participate in one of the most important competitions of their lifetime.”

General admission tickets for the Runway for the Gold fashion show are $50. Premium seats begin at $75. To purchase tickets in advance, visit www.runwayforthegold.org. Tickets will also be available at the door.
