Season passes for 2018 meet at Saratoga Race Course on sale now

Season passes valid for admission all 40 days, including Travers and Whitney

Single-day admission may be purchased in advance beginning May 3 

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) now welcomes the general public to purchase season admission passes for the 2018 meet at historic Saratoga Race Course.

A season pass provides fans with admission to 40 days of world-class thoroughbred racing at Saratoga Race Course, including the Grade 1 Travers and Grade 1 Whitney. Season passes do not include reserved seating. Season passes may be purchased at www.NYRA.com/Saratoga.

The cost for a 2018 Grandstand season pass is $40, or the equivalent of $1 per day. A Clubhouse season pass is $65, which equates to $1.62 per day.

Single-day Grandstand admission is $5 and Clubhouse admission is $8 for guests who purchase their tickets prior to the day of the event. Single-day Grandstand admission is $7 and Clubhouse admission is $10 when purchased at the gate.

Admission may be purchased in advance at www.Ticketmaster.com beginning Thursday, May 3. Guests may also purchase their admission in advance at the NYRA Box Office at Saratoga Race Course beginning Saturday, July 14.

Since 2013, NYRA has invested more than $30 million at Saratoga Race Course to enhance the guest experience and provide amenities that are consistent with those available at first-class stadiums and arenas.

Guests now enjoy more than 1,000 new high-definition televisions throughout the property; 950 picnic tables available for free on a first-come, first-serve basis in the backyard; six new high-definition video boards in the backyard; new high-definition infield video boards; enhanced Wi-Fi and sound systems; new attractions such as the Saratoga Walk of Fame and the Saratoga Family Zone; and the renovation of the upper and lower Carousel amongst other items.

Historical preservation initiatives include the restoration of the Paddock Mutuel Building and copper roofing to the Grandstand and Clubhouse; and the construction of the Whitney Viewing Stand to replicate the original structure at the Oklahoma Training Track.

Since introducing season passes, NYRA has also worked in close partnership with the Saratoga Downtown Business Association to develop the Saratoga Season Perks program. The program includes discounts at participating restaurants, merchants, service providers and entertainment venues as well as on-track. Discounts are valid from June 1, 2018 through March 31, 2019 with a Saratoga Season Perks card.

Season pass holders will also be guaranteed a Saratoga premium giveaway on the day of the giveaway. Season pass holders must be present at Saratoga Race Course, enter through the designated season ticket holder lines and redeem the giveaway by the designated time. Redemptions will begin when gates open to the general public.

In addition to season passes, full-season ticket plans are currently available for purchase. Full-season plans include reserved seats and admission for the 40-day season in the Grandstand and Clubhouse. They may be purchased online through NYRA Account Manager.

Weekly ticket plans for the Clubhouse and Grandstand will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, April 10.

The 2018 meet at historic Saratoga Race Course will again be highlighted by the Grade 1, $1.2 million Whitney and the Grade 1, $1.25 million Travers, the centerpieces of two of the biggest days in North American racing.

The 40-day meet, which includes 69 stakes worth $18.8 million in purses, will run from Friday, July 20, through Labor Day, Monday, September 3.
