SARATOGA RACE COURSE TO HOST JOB FAIR FOR UPCOMING MEET

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will host a three-day job fair for those interested in working at Saratoga Race Course during the 2014 summer meet, which will run for 40 days from Friday, July 18 through Labor Day, Monday, September 1.

Opportunities are available for: security, white caps (ushers), parking attendants, utility workers, turf work and general labor, retail clerks, hosts/hostesses, waitstaff, bartenders, cooks, prep cooks, food service helpers, cashiers, porters and barbacks, food service supervisors, counter clerks, pari-mutuel betting clerks, and giveaway helpers (part-time only).

Positions are available with NYRA, Centerplate, Union Square Events, The Forum Group and American Maintenance.

Interviews will be held at the Carousel near the East Avenue Gate from 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 12; from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 13; and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 14. Interviews for Shake Shack and El Verano Taqueria positions with Union Square Events will be conducted on Thursday and Friday only.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age with New York State Certified Working Papers; prospective security guards, cashiers and pari-mutuel betting clerks must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Betting clerks and cashiers must have significant cash handling experience. All applicants must have with them acceptable documents which establish identity and employment as per I-9 regulations.
