SARATOGA RACE COURSE TO HONOR ARMED FORCES WITH VETERANS DAY

The New York Racing Association to honor armed forces with Veterans Day at Saratoga Race Course

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. will pay tribute to the nation’s active duty service members and veterans during the annual Veterans Day at Saratoga Race Course on Wednesday, August 28.

The day will feature free grandstand admission for all United States active duty military and veterans with military ID.

Veterans of World War II will be recognized in the winner’s circle following the day’s second race, named in honor of the Leatherstocking Honor Flight, which transports American veterans to visit national memorials dedicated to honoring their service and sacrifices in Washington D.C.

Additionally, the New York Racing Association will pay tribute to its veteran and active duty employees with a special ceremony in the winner’s circle during the National Anthem at approximately 12:40 p.m.
