SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. today announced that mobile ordering via the NYRA XP app is now available at select concessions at Saratoga Race Course.
Express food and beverage pickup is available at the following concession stands: Shake Shack, Lobster Hut; Paddock Pizzeria; and Sams and Clams Chowder Bar. Additionally, fans can use NYRA XP to purchase merchandise from the Saratoga Silks store.
“NYRA XP has been tremendously well-received by our fans at Saratoga this summer, with more than 9,500 users taking advantage of the great services available at the click of a button,” said NYRA Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer Lynn LaRocca. “Express Pickup provides our guests with a convenient and efficient way to enjoy several of our most popular food and beverage options on track, without missing a moment of the racing action. We encourage those fans who have not yet downloaded NYRA XP to do so today to experience all Saratoga has to offer.”
To use the Express Pickup feature when ordering food and merchandise, fans select the shop tab, click order food and merchandise, and then Express Pickup. The app automatically populates the concession listings with those physically closest to the user.
After selecting a concession and adding menu items to the cart, the guest is prompted to provide payment information and an email address, to which an encrypted electronic receipt will be sent. Upon hitting place order, the payment is processed and the order is sent to the concession stand.
Once order has been placed and paid for, the guest will be notified through the app that is has been submitted and is being prepared. The guest should go directly to the concession stand’s XP Express Pickup line and provide the cashier with their order number, which is available on the app.
The process to order merchandise is identical (guests should select Merchandise on the shop tab), with a variety of Saratoga souvenirs available to purchase, including red Saratoga men’s ties; coffee mugs featuring the Saratoga logo; and a red and black Saratoga umbrella, amongst other items.
NYRA XP is the latest result of NYRA’s ongoing commitment to invest in mobile technology to enhance the guest experience with the most advanced applications in thoroughbred racing.
With NYRA XP, fans can learn about upcoming events, purchase tickets, find their seat location, pin their car location, wager through NYRA Bets, live stream races and customize their viewing experience from various camera locations.
