MAZZONE HOSPITALITY TO PROVIDE FOOD AND CATERING SERVICE AT HUDSON VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Troy, N.Y.– Hudson Valley Community College, the second-largest undergraduate college in the Capital Region, today announced that Mazzone Hospitality will serve as the school’s new on-campus food service and catering provider.

“We are very excited to partner with Mazzone Hospitality, a respected, regionally-based food provider whose reputation for quality and detail is well known,” said Hudson Valley Community College President Drew Matonak. “Our students, faculty and staff are really looking forward to the new food options that Mazzone will bring, and we are especially proud to be partnering with a company that has deep local roots and a commitment to community service.”

“This partnership will bring two Capital Region institutions together and offer quality food and exceptional service in a college setting, something new to Mazzone Hospitality,” said Angelo Mazzone, owner of Mazzone Hospitality. “We’re thrilled to announce this partnership and look forward to introducing faculty and staff to exciting new options.”

Mazzone Hospitality will oversee dining operations at the school’s main food court and coffee bar located in the Siek Campus Center, as well as café stations in the Marvin Library Learning Commons, Science Center and Williams Hall.

“While staple items will be introduced, such as an Angelo’s Kitchen Italian Station in the Siek Campus Center and Foundry smoked meats at Williams Hall, we hope to tailor and grow our operations to best fit the college’s needs throughout the initial few years,” said Tim Vennard, Vice President PRIME Business Dining.

The board of the college’s Faculty Student Association (FSA), which oversees food service on campus, approved the selection of Mazzone Hospitality earlier this month following a request for proposals in February. Chartwells Dining Services has been the food and catering provider at Hudson Valley since 2004.
