Massapequa Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins celebrate grand reopening with donation to Toys for Tots

Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 1399 Hicksville Road in Massapequa on Friday, October 2, as part of its grand reopening celebration.

Dunkin’ franchisee Long Island Combo Shops, celebrating its 30th anniversary, commemorated the occasion with a $1,000 charitable contribution to the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. The mission of the annual Marine Corps Reserve campaign is to collect and distribute new, unwrapped toys to children and families in need within Nassau County and the local community during the holiday season.

The event featured the first 100 guests in line by 3 p.m. receiving a free medium Dunkin’ Hot or Iced Coffee for 100 consecutive days, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise and enjoyed a complimentary Dunkin’ photobooth. Guests also took advantage of $1.31 single scoops of Baskin-Robbins ice cream and enjoyed an appearance by 103.1 FM The Wolf, which featured ticket giveaways to concerts and sporting events.

Nassau County District 19 Legislator James Kennedy; Oyster Bay Councilwoman Laura L. Maier; Members of the Nassau County Police Department’s 7th Precinct; and representatives on behalf of Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and New York State Assemblyman John K. Mikulin joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The newly remodeled, 2,500 square-foot Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins employs 25 crew members and is open daily 24 hours, seven days per week.
