Hop into Spring (Break) with the Adirondack Thunder at Dunkin’

Dunkin’ franchise network, The Burke Companies LLC, will kick off spring break for area schools with the grand reopening of its restaurant at 713 Upper Glen Street in Queensbury on Tuesday, April 2 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Hockey fans and other guests are invited to enjoy coffee with two players from their hometown and playoff-bound hockey team, the Adirondack Thunder, who will pose for photos and sign autographs beginning at 2:30 p.m. Free giveaways of Dunkin’ merchandise will be available while supplies last.

“At the Burke Companies, we are always thinking of innovative ways to bring fun activities to our community and thought this would be one way for families to enjoy time together during spring recess,” said Tom Burke III of the Burke Companies, LLC. “We are grateful for our partnership with the Adirondack Thunder, which allows our guests to meet their favorite players at Dunkin’.”

Dunkin’s newly remodeled restaurant is 2,000 square feet and employs approximately 20 crew members. It features Dunkin’s new restaurant design with a modern atmosphere, innovative technologies and exciting elements, including:

  • Modern Design: The openness, colors and materials used in the design help to create an approachable, positive and energetic environment.
  • Premium Pours: Dunkin’s signature cold beverages are now served through an innovative tap system featuring eight consistently cold beverages such as coffees, iced teas, cold brew coffee and nitro infused cold brew coffee. Crew members will also use top-quality flavor-maximizing espresso machines to make hand-crafted drinks to order.
  • Dunkin’ on Demand: Dunkin’ has also introduced an area dedicated to mobile pickups, so that members of the Dunkin’ Rewards program who order ahead via Dunkin’s Mobile App can get in and out of the restaurant faster than ever before.

Tom Burke III and representatives from the Burke Companies recently donated $5,000 to St. Mary’s Food Pantry in Glens Falls in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Joined by Adirondack Thunder players and staff at a ceremonial check presentation conducted on March 21, the Burke Companies reaffirmed its commitment to the community in celebration of the recent grand reopenings of restaurants in Queensbury and South Glens Falls.

The Thunder recently clinched a playoff berth in their pursuit of the Kelly Cup and ECHL championship.
