Experience a trackside tradition during Breakfast at Saratoga, presented by CDTA

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will invite racing fans to continue a summer tradition during Breakfast at Saratoga, presented by the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA).

Breakfast at Saratoga welcomes guests to enjoy breakfast on The Porch of the Clubhouse at Saratoga Race Course while the thoroughbreds train on the main track. Breakfast is held daily (except Travers Day, Saturday, August 25) from 7 to 9:30 a.m. and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

“The morning hours are a truly special and magical time at the Spa. Breakfast at Saratoga is a long-standing tradition and is an experience that many racing fans look forward to each year,” said NYRA Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer Lynn LaRocca. “We thank CDTA for their partnership in this year’s Breakfast at Saratoga and encourage fans to join us for a truly memorable morning this season.”

“We are excited to kick off the 2018 racing season with this new partnership,” said Carm Basile, CDTA Chief Executive Officer. “In addition to our popular Saratoga summer trolley, this is another way for CDTA to connect people with a unique Capital Region experience. There is so much history and tradition surrounding the Saratoga Race Course, and we are happy to be a part of it.”

The morning breakfast buffet is $18.50 for adults and $10.25 for kids ages 12 and under. Admission is free during breakfast hours. Admission must be paid to re-enter the track once gates formally open for the day.

Mornings at Saratoga also welcome fans to go behind the scenes with a free, guided backstretch tram tour, courtesy of CDTA. Tram tours begin at 7:30 a.m. and depart from the Clubhouse entrance approximately every 15 minutes through 9 a.m. Tours are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are 45 minutes in length.

Single-day Grandstand admission is $5 and Clubhouse admission is $8 for guests who purchase their tickets prior to the day of the event. Single-day Grandstand admission is $7 and Clubhouse admission is $10 when purchased at the gate.

Season admission passes may be purchased online at NYRA.com, in-person at the NYRA Box Office at Saratoga Race Course and at more than 150 Stewart’s Shops locations throughout the Capital Region. A season pass provides fans with admission to world-class thoroughbred racing every day at Saratoga Race Course, including the Grade 1 Travers on Saturday, August 25 and the Grade 1 Whitney on Saturday, August 4. The cost of a 2018 Grandstand season pass is $40; a Clubhouse season pass is $65. Season passes do not include reserved seating and are valid for one admission.

The 2018 summer meet at Saratoga Race Course, which includes 69 stakes worth $18.8 million in purses, will run through Labor Day, Monday, September 3.
