Dunkin’ to offer $5 gift card to first 1,000 baseball fans returning to Joe Bruno Stadium on National Donut Day, Friday, June 4
TROY, New York; – Dunkin’ will celebrate the return of baseball to the Capital Region by offering $5 gift cards to the first 1,000 fans at the Tri-City ValleyCats home opener at Joe Bruno Stadium on Friday, June 4.
The giveaway coincides with National Donut Day, which Dunkin’ will recognize on June 4 in the Capital Region by offering guests a free classic donut of their choice with the purchase of any beverage at participating restaurants while supplies last.
“Dunkin’ is excited to continue our partnership with the Tri-City ValleyCats this year and celebrate National Donut Day with the Capital Region,” said Dunkin’ Field Marketing Manager Eric Stensland. “The ValleyCats will celebrate their home opener on National Donut Day and we are proud to give the first 1,000 fans returning to The Joe a Dunkin’ gift card to celebrate this exciting event. Dunkin’ is proud to help keep the ValleyCats and Capital Region baseball fans running this season.”
In addition to serving as the ValleyCats’ debut in the Frontier League, the home opener marks the first-time fans will be welcomed back to the stands since the 2019 baseball season. The ValleyCats are set to return to The Joe with a 7 p.m. first pitch against the New Jersey Jackals as part of a six-game home stand.

National Donut Day was originally established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. The holiday is traditionally celebrated on the first Friday of June. Dunkin’ has been serving guests signature donuts for 70 years.
