Dunkin’ restaurant in Orange celebrates grand reopening with donation to Crown Work Inc.

Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 529 Main Street in Orange on Wednesday, April 29, as part of its grand reopening celebration.

Dunkin’ franchisee Ray Alaigh of the Alaigh Network commemorated the occasion with a $5,000 donation to the Crown Work Inc., in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Crown Work Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing human development, reducing stigma, and restoring opportunity in historically marginalized communities. Based in Orange, NJ, they routinely provide local area children with food services by offering distribution and partnering with local food pantries.

“We are extremely grateful to Ray Alaigh and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation for providing this generous donation to support our community initiatives to combat hunger and create an ecosystem of empowerment,” said Crown Work Inc. Founder Dr. Fatima Turner. “These funds will be used to provide nourishment to local youth within the community during the summer months when school is out and during other times of need.”

The event featured the first 100 people in line at 9 a.m. receiving a free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 days, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise and enjoyed a Dunkin’ photobooth.

Orange Mayor Dwayne Warren; New Jersey Assemblyman Mike Venezia; New Jersey Assemblywoman Carmen Morales; Orange Councilwoman Tency Eason; Orange Deputy Director of Planning & Economic Development Christopher Mobley; Orange Business Administrator Chris Hartwyk; and members of the Orange Police Department joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The newly remodeled, 1,800 square-foot Dunkin’ employs 18 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
