Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 45 Quaker Ave. in Cornwall on Friday, December 19 as part of its grand reopening celebration.
Dunkin’ franchisee Amish Patel of Giatri Donuts, Inc. commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to Project L.I.F.E., in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Opened in 1993, Project L.I.F.E. (Living Independently For Everyone) provides transitional housing and support services for homeless families residing within Orange County.
“We would like to thank Amish Patel and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation for this generous donation to Project L.I.F.E.,” said Project L.I.F.E. Executive Director Roberta Smith. “The funds will be utilized by those we serve to provide food and other needs for the nourishment of children.”
The event featured the first 100 people in line at 9 a.m. receiving a free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 days, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise, and enjoyed a Dunkin’ photobooth and face painter.
Cornwall Town Supervisor Joshua Wojehowski, representatives from the Cornwall Town Council and representatives from the office of New York State Senator James Skoufis joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The newly remodeled, 2,000 square-foot Dunkin’ employs 15 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
