Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 59 Orange Turnpike in Sloatsburg on Friday, August 21, as part of its grand reopening celebration.
Dunkin’ franchisee Suresh Patel commemorated the occasion with a $500 donation to the Sloatsburg Fire Department. Since 1923, the Sloatsburg Fire Department has enlisted volunteers for a full-service firefighting operation.
“The Sloatsburg Fire Department is grateful for this generous donation from Suresh Patel in celebration of his newly remodeled Dunkin’”, said Sloatsburg Fire Department Chief Ronald Kanasky. “We wish Suresh the best moving forward with his remodeled store and look forward to using these funds to protect our local community.”
The event featured the first 100 people in line at 9 a.m. receiving a free medium Dunkin’ Hot or Iced Coffee for 100 consecutive days, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise.
Sloatsburg Mayor Darrell Frasier; Members of the Sloatsburg Village Council; Rockland County Legislator Doug Jobson; Members of the Sloatsburg Fire Department; Members of the Ramapo Police Department; and representatives from the offices of Rockland County Executive Ed Day, New York State Senator Bill Weber and New York State Assemblyman Karl Brabenec joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The newly remodeled, 1,680 square-foot Dunkin’ employs 15 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
