ALBANY, N.Y. – Dunkin’ Donuts today announced it will support the efforts to cure muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by collecting donations in its Capital Region restaurants to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s “Make a Muscle, Make a Difference” campaign.
From July 5 through 12, guests who elect to contribute $1 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the Capital Region will receive a paper donut icon bearing the MDA logo which may be displayed with the guest’s name on the wall of the restaurant.
Over the past four years, Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the Capital Region have generated more than $149,783 in partnership with their guests to benefit the MDA.
“Dunkin’ Donuts is honored to once again support the critical efforts and innovative programs of the MDA, which enhance the lives of people affected by muscular dystrophy and related muscle diseases,” said Dunkin’ Donuts Field Marketing Manager Eric Stensland. “We’re thrilled to be able to reach out to our vast network of generous guests to help raise funds for this important cause. I am confident they will be as enthusiastic as ever in supporting an organization that is so significant to our community.”
All contributions generated from the campaign will support the MDA’s comprehensive services program for Capital Region families, including youth summer camps, medical equipment, clinics and support groups; as well as the association’s research efforts to find a cure for neuromuscular diseases.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is the non-profit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research.
