DUNKIN’ DONUTS DONATES MORE THAN $30,000 TO BERNARD & MILLIE DUKER CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL AT ALBANY MED

Donation is the result of annual Iced Coffee Day campaign

ALBANY, NY; – Dunkin’ Donuts today celebrated the results of its recent Iced Coffee Day campaign with a donation of $30,611 to the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med.

During the one-day event on May 23, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees donated $1 from every cup of Iced Coffee sold at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the Capital Region to the children’s hospital.

“Dunkin’ Donuts is thrilled to continue to support the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med through our annual Iced Coffee Day program. This $30,000 donation is a direct reflection of the community support engendered by the children’s hospital, which is so vital to children and families in need,” said Dunkin’ Donuts Integrated Marketing Manager Eric Stensland. “I would like to thank all of our guests who joined us on Iced Coffee Day to help raise funds for the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med.”

Since its inception in 2012, Iced Coffee Day has now generated more than $213,000 for the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med. In addition, the Dunkin’ Donuts Joy in Childhood Foundation previously granted $20,000 to support the hospital’s Child Life Program.

 “Our team of medical specialists depends on the generosity of community partners so they can continue delivering the highest quality care to the children of our region,” said David A. Clark, M.D., director of the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med.  “We thank Dunkin’ Donuts for its dedicated support to our patients and their families.”

 The Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med is a 125-bed facility devoted exclusively to the medical needs of infants, children and adolescents and is the referral center for all seriously ill and injured children from 25 counties in upstate New York and western New England.  It is staffed by 140 physicians trained in 40 subspecialties and more than 400 pediatric nurses, therapists, social workers and child-life specialists.
