ALBANY, NY; September 23, 2020 – Dunkin’ today announced the results of its recent Iced Coffee Day campaign with a donation of approximately $30,000 to the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med.

The donation is taking place less than a week before National Dunkin’ Day, which Dunkin’ will celebrate in the Capital Region with a special free coffee offer for its loyal guests. On Tuesday, September 29, participating Dunkin’ restaurants in the Capital Region will be celebrating National Dunkin’ Day by offering a free medium Hot or Iced Coffee with any purchase.

“We are excited to celebrate National Dunkin’ Day by contributing to the tremendous efforts of the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med. Dunkin’ is thrilled to continue to support this organization, which is so vital to the community,” said Dunkin’ Field Marketing Manager Eric Stensland. “I would like to thank all of our guests who joined us on Iced Coffee Day to help raise these important funds for the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med.”

During the one-day event on August 26, Dunkin’ franchisees donated $1 from every cup of Iced Coffee sold at participating Dunkin’ restaurants to the children’s hospital. Since its inception in 2012, Iced Coffee Day has now generated more than $275,000 for the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med.

“Our team of medical specialists depends on the generosity of community partners so they can continue delivering the highest quality care to the children of our region,” said Barbara Ostrov, M.D., chief of service at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med. “We thank Dunkin’ for its years of dedicated support to our patients and their families.”

The Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med is a 125-bed facility devoted exclusively to the medical needs of infants, children and adolescents and is the referral center for all seriously ill and injured children from 25 counties in upstate New York and western New England.  It is staffed by 140 physicians trained in 40 subspecialties and more than 400 pediatric nurses, therapists, social workers and child life specialists.
