Cardona’s Market, the family-owned Italian specialty foods market and catering company serving the Capital Region since 1945, wants to help guests celebrate the unofficial start of summer. From graduation parties to exciting gatherings at the track to the upcoming international soccer tournament, Cardona’s has a wide variety of catering packages to accommodate get-togethers of any size.
“These catering packages will take the work and worry out of what to serve at all upcoming summer celebrations,” said Cardona’s Market Co-Owner and Executive Chef Robert Cardona Jr. “Graduations, summer gatherings and championship sporting events are a great time to enjoy Cardona’s delicious catering packages.”
Let Cardona’s provide the fuel for a trip to the track this June with the return of their highly popular Trackside ‘Big Bel’ Bundles, which include:
- A “Grazin’ Table” package featuring an antipasti platter; fruit platter; primavera platter; bruschetta; caprese platter; and homemade cookies. Feeds 15-20 people.
- A wrap pack ‘for the table’ featuring assorted wraps; one-half tray garden salad; one-half tray tortellini salad; (2#) Italian cookie platter; and two, two-liter soda bottles. Feeds 12-15 people.
- A sub pack ‘for the table’ featuring assorted wraps; one-half tray garden salad; one-half tray macaroni salad; (2#) Italian cookie platter; and two, two-liter soda bottles. Feeds 12-15 people.
- A “Summertime Sub Picnic” featuring an assorted sub platter; tomato mozzarella salad; tri-tortellini salad; arancini with marinara; chicken tenders; mozzarella sticks; and an assorted homemade cookie platter. Feeds 35-40 people.
- A “Classic Italian Track Pack” featuring sausage and peppers; meatballs; baked ziti; eggplant parmesan; garden salad; mini torpedo rolls; and mini cannolis. Feeds 25-30 people.
- A “BBQ Track Package” featuring pulled pork; roasted bone-in chicken; homemade BBQ sauce; baked beans; potato salad; macaroni and cheese; coleslaw; a fresh fruit platter with yogurt dip; and soft rolls. Feeds 35-40 people.
The “Trackside ‘Big Bel’ Bundles” are available from June 3 until June 7 and must be ordered by noon for next-day orders. Cardona’s “Track Party Packs” will also be available throughout the summer track season.
Cardona’s offers a wide array of options to celebrate graduation season, including:
- A “Classic Italian Grad Party” package featuring sausage and peppers; meatballs; baked ziti; eggplant parm; garden salad; rolls; and mini cannolis.
- A “Summertime Sub Party” package featuring an assorted sub platter; tomato mozzarella salad; tri-tortellini salad; arancini with marinara; chicken tenders; mozzarella sticks; and a homemade assorted cookie platter.
- A “BBQ Grad Party” package featuring pulled pork; roasted bone-in chicken; homemade BBQ sauce; baked beans; potato salad; macaroni and cheese; coleslaw; rolls; and a fresh fruit platter.
- A Chicken Cutlet Sub Platter or Vegetarian Sub Platter that feeds eight to ten people.
Cardona’s Graduation Packages must be ordered by noon for next-day pickup.
Meanwhile, soccer or, if you prefer, football fans can fuel up while enjoying the upcoming championship tournament with the following options:
- A “World Champion Snack Pack” featuring Cardona’s famous meatballs; arancini; fried mozzarella; and chicken tenders.
- A “Kick-Off Pack” featuring fried mozzarella; an American cold cut platter with fix-ins and rolls; arancini; and shrimp cocktail.
- A “Pre-Game Pack” featuring an assorted sub platter; macaroni salad; potato salad; antipasti salad; and arancini.
- A “Going for Gold Pack” featuring a specialty chicken cutlet sub platter; a specialty veggie sub platter; tomato mozzarella salad; tortellini salad; Cardona’s famous meatballs; and a specialty dessert platter.
- A build-your-own meatball and sausage parmesan pack that feeds eight to ten people.
- A Chicken Cutlet Sub Platter or Vegetarian Sub Platter that feeds eight to ten people.
These packages are available to coincide with the start of championship play beginning June 11 through July 19 and must be ordered by noon for next-day pickup.
Brand new for the summer season, Cardona’s Latham Market launched a “grab and go” ice cream cooler, which will be stocked all summer long with an assortment of frozen treats (i.e. Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches, Tartufo Limoncello Gelato, Bindi Gelato and Bombas, and more). The new ice cream coolers will be coming soon to Albany and Saratoga Markets as well.
