CELEBRATE SPRING RECESS WITH A WEEK OF KIDS’ ACTIVITIES AT STUYVESANT PLAZA

Stuyvesant Plaza, the Capital Region’s premier open-air retail destination, is proud to announce a week of engaging events and activities for local youth, ages 5 to 15, during Spring Recess from Monday, April 1st through Friday, April 5th.

“Spring Recess will be bursting with fun and games for the community here at Stuyvesant Plaza,” said Stuyvesant Plaza General Manager Rachel Ferluge. “We’re excited to partner with some of our most popular shops and eateries to host these spring-themed activities. It should be a fabulous week for families.”

On Monday, April 1st, Blaze Pizza will host a Character Pizza Party with appearances by Disney-themed characters from Fantasy First. The event is free to attend from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will be available for purchase. Tickets can be reserved via Eventbrite.

On Tuesday April 2nd from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. guests can make Taylor Swift-inspired friendship bracelets at BARE Blends and enjoy special themed bowls, sold separately for $10. Tickets are $5 per person and benefit Girls, Inc. of the Greater Capital Region. Children ages 9 to 14 are welcome. The event is limited to 20 guests. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite.

On Wednesday, April 3rd, Ta-Da! will host two Open Play Sessions with face painting from 11 a.m. to noon and then from noon until 1 p.m. The events are open to children ages 8 to 12 and will be located in the storefront between Penzeys Spices and Ta-Da! Both sessions are free to attend but guests must reserve their spot ahead of time. All attendees will receive an in-store promotion to use next door at Ta-Da! Tickets can be reserved via Eventbrite.

On Thursday, April 4th, the Hot Yoga Spot will host a youth yoga class beginning at 11 a.m. The class is $10 per child. Children ages 5 to 8 are welcome and the event is limited to 15 children. Tickets, which cover one school-aged child, can be purchased via Eventbrite.

Bountiful Bread will close out the week on Friday, April 5th, with an advanced cookie decorating class from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tweens ages 11 to 15 can decorate flower cookies. Tickets are limited to 25 guests and can be purchased for $10 via Eventbrite.
