Cardona’s Market – the family-owned Italian specialty foods market and catering company serving the Capital Region since 1945 – will offer a gift card exchange program this March for residents with obsolete gift cards/certificates to recently closed Capital Region delis.
Gift cards of any value to the former Schenectady-based Gershon’s Deli; Loudonville’s Genoa Importing Co.; or Primal: Your Local Butcher, previously located in Guilderland and Saratoga Springs, may be redeemed at Cardona’s Market for a one-time $25 in-store credit during the month of March.
“We are aware that local residents may have gift cards that are no longer valid in the wake of the recent closures of several local delis,” said Cardona’s Market Co-Owner and Executive Chef Robert Cardona, Jr. “We would like to offer the opportunity for the community to redeem and reclaim at least a portion of the value of these gift cards at Cardona’s.”
Customers with gift cards to the qualifying delis may exchange them for a one-time, single use $25 credit at any of Cardona’s three store locations during March. Limit one $25 credit per customer which must be used in its entirety during a single store visit. Offer expires March 31, 2026, and excludes online catering orders.
Cardona’s Market is located at 340 Delaware Avenue in Albany; 9 Cobbee Road in Latham; and 222 Washington Street in Saratoga Springs. The Albany and Latham markets are open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and the Saratoga market is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. All three locations are open Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cardona’s Market was named 2024 Family Business of the Year by the Albany Business Review and was once again voted Best Caterer of the Capital Region for the fourth consecutive year by Times Union readers.
