Cardona’s Market celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week and National Nurses Week with launch of new sandwich and catering packages

Cardona’s Market salutes Capital Region educators and nursing professionals – who are the heart of the community — on their annually concurrent weeks of recognition with a signature sandwich beginning Monday, May 4 through Tuesday, May 12.

The “Heart-BEET,” a brand-new Cardona’s wrap creation, is being offered in celebration of Nurse and Teacher Appreciation Week, featuring a garlic herb wrap, fresh-roasted garlic and lemon hummus, mesclun mix, sliced bell pepper, cucumber, shaved house grilled chicken, Feta cheese, house chili oil and pickled beets.

Cardona’s is also offering special catering packages for nurses and teachers, along with a special catering giveaway that includes two Teacher’s/Nurse’s Lounge Hot Lunch Catering Packages.

Cardona’s Hot Lunch Catering Package feeds 20 people and includes: garden salad, Vodka Rigatoni with Chicken, Eggplant Parmigiana, Meatballs, Italian bread and butter, Italian cookie platter, and (2) 2 liters of Soda.

“Cardona’s is proud to continue our tradition of thanking the incredible educators and nurses here in the Capital Region in our own delicious fashion,” said Cardona’s Co-Owner and Executive Chef Robert Cardona, Jr. “We’re happy to give back to those who give so much to our kids and community during Nurses and Teacher Appreciation Week. Anyone who visits our markets today through March 12 to enjoy the “Heart-BEET” sandwich is invited to nominate their favorite nurse or teacher for lunch on us!”

Cardona’s guests at each of its three market locations can nominate a favorite nurse and medical facility, and favorite teacher and school from May 4-12 via the following link. The winners will be contacted on May 13.

Teacher Appreciation Week was founded by the National Education Association as an annual tribute to teachers. The weeklong celebration is an opportunity to support and advocate for educators, shining a spotlight on exceptional teachers and raising funds to improve the quality of public schools across the country.

Nurses Appreciation Week (National Nurses Week) ANA National Nurses Week is an annual observance organized by the American Nurses Association (ANA) to honor the contributions, sacrifices, and expertise of nurses across the United States, who form the backbone of the US healthcare system.

In addition to Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Week offerings, Cardona’s is featuring a Mother’s Day Brunch take-away menu available for pre-order. Visit Catering.CardonasMarket.com to reserve Mom’s meal.
