Women’s Health Signs on as Founding Partner of All Women’s Sports and Entertainment Platform

New York; November 9, 2018: Women’s Health Editor-in-Chief Liz Plosser and Aurora Games Founder and Executive Producer Jerry Solomon today announced a broad-ranging partnership that makes Women’s Health a founding partner of the Aurora Games, the newly created sports and entertainment festival debuting August 20-25, 2019 at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY.

The partnership was unveiled yesterday evening in New York City at an event hosted by Women’s Health entitled “The Future Really is Female.”

”A partnership with the Aurora Games is a natural fit for Women’s Health,” said Editor-in-Chief Liz Plosser, who took the reins at Women’s Health in early 2018. “Supporting a women’s initiative that spans across sports, entertainment, culture and lifestyle is exactly what Women’s Health is all about. Women in sports deserve to be celebrated, and we look forward to working with the participating athletes, sporting legends, fans and Women’s Health readers to tell great stories about women who are leading the way and making a difference.”

Yesterday’s event, which centered around a panel discussion developed by Women’s Health, featured Ms. Plosser as the moderator alongside Aurora Games Advisory Board Members and Olympic icons Shannon Miller and Nancy Kerrigan, Grand Slam tennis champion and co-host of the SiriusXM radio show “Changing the Game” Rennae Stubbs, and National Women’s Hockey League star Taylor Manchin. Topics ranged from performing under pressure to preparing for competition to how sports experience contributes to success in the workplace.

“It is with great excitement that we welcome Women’s Health magazine as our first founding sponsor of the Aurora Games,” said Aurora Games creator Jerry Solomon. “The creativity and market insight they bring to the project are invaluable as exemplified by the panel discussion that Liz led last night. We look forward to developing additional unique content with them as we build up to the Aurora Games Opening Ceremonies.”
