ADIRONDACK THUNDER RETURN TO HOME ICE ON NEW YEAR’S EVE AFTER BRIEF HIATUS

Holiday Special 4-Pack and $4 beer on New Year’s Eve followed by Sunday Family Fun Day “hat trick” 3-Pack

GLENS FALLS, NY, – The Adirondack Thunder, the Capital Region’s professional ice hockey team, will make their return to Cool Insuring Arena this New Year’s Weekend for the first time since early December following a mandated stoppage in play. The New Year’s Eve match-up on Friday, Dec. 31, against Newfoundland, will mark the Thunder’s return to home ice following the postponement of the four previous games at Cool Insuring Arena due to team health and safety protocols.

The action on New Year’s Eve will get underway at the family-friendly time of 5 p.m. and will feature a special 4-Pack that includes four tickets, four souvenir cups and two jump passes to Sky Zone for just $69.

The New Year’s Eve matchup will also include a 12-ounce special on Bud Light beer for $4 throughout the evening.

The first puck-drop of 2022 at Cool Insuring Arena will take place on Sunday, Jan. 2, at 3 p.m. against Trois-Rivieres. The game is part of the Thunder’s season long Family Fun Day promotion. The special “hat trick” package includes three tickets, three popcorns and three soft drinks for $54.

“There’s no better way to kick-off the New Year celebration than with the fast-paced excitement of Adirondack Thunder ice hockey,” said Adirondack Thunder President Jeff Mead. “We’re thrilled to be back on home ice after a brief hiatus and look forward to seeing our fans for the first time in three weeks. Teaming up with our fans to usher in 2022 with our special weekend promotions is a great way to show how much we appreciate their loyalty all year long.”

The Thunder will take a six-game winning streak into their matchup against Reading on Wednesday, Dec. 29, before they return home for the start of the New Year’s weekend series on Friday.
