Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 66 Lafayette Avenue in downtown Suffern on Friday, August 28, as part of its grand reopening celebration.
Dunkin’ franchisee Suresh Patel commemorated the occasion with a $500 donation to the Suffern Police Department. Formed in 1896, the Suffern Police Department serves approximately 14,000 village residents.
“The Suffern Police Department is grateful for this generous donation from Suresh Patel in celebration of his newly remodeled Dunkin’”, said Suffern Police Chief Andrew Loughlin. “We wish Suresh the best moving forward with his remodeled store and look forward to using these funds to protect our local community.”
The event featured the first 100 people in line at 9 a.m. receiving a free medium Dunkin’ Hot or Iced Coffee for 100 consecutive days, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise.
Suffern Mayor Michael Curley; New York State Assemblyman Karl Brabenec; Members of the Suffern Police Department; and representatives from the offices of Rockland County Executive Ed Day and New York State Senator Bill Weber joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The newly remodeled, 1,800 square-foot Dunkin’ employs 12 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
