Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 363 Millburn Avenue in Millburn on Friday, May 15, as part of its grand reopening celebration.
Dunkin’ franchisee Niel Patel commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to The Valerie Fund, in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. The Valerie Fund’s mission is to provide individualized care to children with cancer and blood disorders at medical centers close to home.
“The Valerie Fund is incredibly grateful to Niel Patel and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation for their generous support,” said The Valerie Fund Executive Director Barry Kirschner. “This support will benefit each of The Valerie Fund centers and ultimately helps thousands of kids fighting cancer and blood disorders.”
The event featured the first 100 people in line at 9 a.m. receiving a free medium Dunkin’ Hot or Iced Coffee for 100 consecutive days, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise and enjoyed music from a DJ and a complimentary Dunkin’ photobooth.
Millburn Town Committeeman Ben Stoller; Representatives from Explore Millburn Short Hills; Representatives on behalf of the office of New Jersey Assemblywoman Rosy Bagolie; and members of the Millburn Police and Fire Departments joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The newly remodeled, 1,950 square-foot Dunkin’ employs 10 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
