Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 1273-1275 West Broad Street in Stratford on Friday, January 30, as part of its grand reopening celebration.
Dunkin’ franchisee G & A Donut Corp. commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Founded in 1993, the Bridgeport Rescue Mission provides food, shelter, and addiction recovery services to area residents.
“The generosity provided to us by G & A Donut Corp. and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation goes directly to support families in need of groceries, meals, safe housing and other essential services in the Greater Bridgeport area,” said Bridgeport Rescue Mission CEO Rhonda Neal. “We are extremely grateful for this donation and the continued support of the local community.”
The event featured the first 50 guests in line at 9 a.m. receiving four free medium hot or iced coffees for 14 months, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise and enjoyed a Dunkin’ photobooth.
Connecticut State Representative Joseph Gresko; Stratford Mayor David Chess; Members of the Stratford Police Department; and representatives from both the Stratford Chamber of Commerce and the Bridgeport Regional Business Council joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The newly remodeled 1,700 square-foot Dunkin’ employs 12 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
