The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) is now accepting applications from media members and/or news outlets interested in covering the 2025 Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, which will be held at historic Saratoga Race Course from June 4-8.
Highlighted by the Grade 1, $2 million Belmont Stakes presented by NYRA Bets on Saturday, June 7, the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival will be conducted at Saratoga Race Course from Wednesday, June 4 through Sunday, June 8. The festival will include 27 stakes races with purses totaling $11,275,000, the richest purses and highest number of stakes offered since the launch of the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival in 2014.
Due to space constraints at Saratoga Race Course, media credentials are extremely limited in number with preference given to major news organizations and members of the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters Association.
Applying for press credentials does not guarantee, imply, or conclude that any individual or organization will receive press credentials from NYRA. Additionally, applicants who are granted press credentials agree to adhere to all policies set forth by NYRA.
Applications must include a headshot and letter of assignment from the editor or editor-in-chief, and should be submitted via email to [email protected] using the subject “Belmont Stakes credential application.”
Please note, NYRA will consider applications from freelance journalists and photographers only when the applicant is employed by a recognized media outlet and working on a specific assignment. The request for credentials must be made on their behalf by the assignment editor or general manager of the media outlet.
Applications received after Monday, May 26 will not be considered.
Approved credentials will be distributed from the Saratoga press office beginning Saturday, May 31.
The application process for the 2025 summer meet, and the July 4th Racing Festival, at Saratoga will be announced following the conclusion of the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival.
