Dunkin’ restaurant in East Brunswick commemorates grand opening with donation to Raritan Valley YMCA

Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly built next generation restaurant at 285 NJ-18 in East Brunswick on Wednesday, April 23 as part of its grand opening celebration.

Featuring a convenient drive-thru option, the newly built 1,100 square-foot Dunkin’ employs 11 crew members and is open daily from 4 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Dunkin’ franchisee JOEMAK 18 Corp. commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to the Raritan Valley YMCA, in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. The Raritan Valley YMCA aims to foster youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility within the East Brunswick and surrounding communities.

“The Raritan Valley YMCA is grateful for the donation of $3000 from Makram Ayoub and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation to support the Y’s child feeding programs,” said Raritan Valley YMCA Executive Director Gina Stravic. “The Y will use the donated funds to purchase milk, cheese and other nutritional fresh foods to the children in our childcare center, day camp, school age childcare programs and to supplement our food distribution program which helps 60 families per month. The Y works continuously with grants, donations and community partners to assure that no child goes hungry!”

East Brunswick Economic Development Officer Rob Zuckerman; members of the East Brunswick Independent Fire Company; and representatives from the East Brunswick Regional Chamber of Commerce joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
