Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 93 Valley Road in Clifton on Thursday, May 15 as part of its grand reopening ceremony.
Dunkin’ franchisee Mohamed Ahmed of the Mohamed Ahmed Network commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to Saint Peter’s Haven, in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Established in 1986 as a ministry of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Clifton, Saint Peter’s Haven is a nonprofit charitable organization that feeds the hungry and helps the homeless within the local community.
“Saint Peter’s Haven is extremely appreciative of this generous donation from Mohamed Ahmed and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation,” said Saint Peter’s Haven Acting Executive Director Pamela Fueshko. “The donation will be used for our food pantry, which currently serves over 1,400 families per- month within the local community, making us the largest food pantry in Clifton. We are dedicated to supporting families in Clifton, especially families with children, which make up 45 percent of our clientele.”
Clifton Mayor Raymond Grabowski; City Manager Gary DeMarzo; Councilman Antonio Latona; and members of the Clifton Police Department joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The morning featured the first 100 guests in line at 9 a.m. receiving Free Coffee for a Year while many others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise and enjoyed a complimentary Dunkin’ photobooth.
The 1,200-square-foot Dunkin’ employs 10 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m.
