Cardona’s Market today announced the debut of its latest sandwich and gift bundle, available for one day only, in celebration of Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, that is designed to remind Capital Region dads of the comic books of their youth. The family-owned Italian specialty grocer and caterer is offering the delicious DADWOOD Sandwich Special and Bundle as an innovative way to treat devoted dads to some of their favorite foods, activities and apparel.
The DADWOOD catering package includes:
- The DADWOOD Sandwich – Served on a fresh baked sliced Italian loaf and piled high with layers of the “Big D” Italian Mix, house roasted turkey, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, house made garlic aioli, banana peppers and skewered with a deluxe pickle and olive. Generously serves 2-4 people);
- Cardona’s signature “Big D” T-Shirt — The Big D” specialty sandwich is the first to be featured in Cardona’s ‘Best-Selling Sandwiches’ Collector Edition Tees Series. The short-sleeved shirt (a $22 value) features a fully assembled Big D Italian meats sandwich design on the front and a deconstructed “Big D” sandwich blueprint on the back;
- Two imported pepperoni sticks;
- One large bag of Saratoga Chips;
- One $25 gift card of choice to Fiden’s Brewing Company in Albany or Treehouse Brewing Company in Saratoga Springs.

All pre-orders must be received by noon on Friday, June 19 and must include the t-shirt size and choice of brewery gift card included with the bundle. The DADWOOD Sandwich Special and Bundle is $99.
