The Kenmore Ballroom is part of Redburn Development Partners’ transformative $80 million investment in downtown Albany, which revitalized the long-vacant, 196,000 square foot Kenmore Building at 76 North Pearl Street. The redevelopment reimagined the historic structure into 123 market-rate apartments and 36,000 square feet of commercial space, reenergizing a key city block while preserving its rich architectural heritage.
Originally constructed in 1878, the Kenmore Building is a grand Victorian structure celebrated for its decorative brick masonry, balconies, and ornate roof cresting. Built by entrepreneur Adam Blake – the son of a formerly enslaved person – the building expanded over time to occupy an entire city block. Today, the Kenmore Ballroom offers guests a classically modern atmosphere that evokes both history and sophistication.
